This exceptional Italian majolica vase is a striking example of the craftsmanship produced by Società Ceramica Umbra, founded by Paolo Rubboli in the late 19th century in Gualdo Tadino, Umbria. Known for reviving the Renaissance-era lustro technique and embracing elaborate, polychrome decoration, Rubboli’s workshop became a key figure in the tradition of Italian ceramics. Likely dating from the early to mid-20th century. Marked on underside.
