This rare teal Wedgwood jasperware diamond-shaped trinket dish was produced in 1984 to commemorate 225 years of Wedgwood, founded in 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood. Anniversary pieces from this series are especially sought after, with the teal ground reserved for limited and commemorative production rather than standard catalog colors.
The dish features finely modeled white neoclassical reliefs, including a classical figure at center framed by laurel garlands and floral motifs—hallmarks of Wedgwood’s jasperware tradition inspired by 18th-century classical art. The diamond form adds a sculptural, architectural quality, making it equally suited as a tabletop accent, vanity catchall, or display piece for collectors of English ceramics.
Marked to the underside with the 1759–1984 anniversary date, confirming its commemorative status and English manufacture.
