Large hand-thrown Raku urn on original base by Mike Brennan, a renowned Laguna Beach artist. This piece is adorned with richly fired tones of greens and copper iridescence. The art of Raku is an ancient ceramic art form originating in Japan in the 15th century. Fire and smoke produce unpredictable copper luster and crackle patterns making each piece a unique work of art.  Brennans' expertise is showcased through his use of self-formulated glazes and instinct driven firings.
