Extremely rare oversized 19th-century Staffordshire spaniels featuring classic russet and white coloring with hand-painted details and expressive faces. Though both figures have hairlines, they remain solid and display beautifully. As is common with early Staffordshire, they are unmarked. A charming and highly sought-after pair for collectors and decorators alike. Made circa 1880.
