Large 1887 French Dressage Horse Show Trophy

Impressive 1887 French equestrian competition plaque from the Association Hippique du Centre. Inscribed for a dressage trial for three-year-old horses and awarded 7th prize in Le Dorat (Haute-Vienne). The large cast plaque features bold raised lettering surrounded by a decorative frame with its original hanging loop. Pieces of this scale are uncommon and capture the proud heritage of French horse sport in the late 19th century.
