Early 20th century Italian ceramic sculptures by Guido Cacciapuoti depicting two peasant figures carrying baskets filled with the day's harvest tucked beneath their arms. Decorated in softly muted polychrome enamels, the figures display expressive modeling and charming folk character associated with Cacciapuoti's celebrated Italian studio work. Artist signed examples retaining original labels on the underside. Wonderfully decorative continental pieces with warm rustic appeal.
