This radiant French majolica fruit service by Sarreguemines is pure table theatre. Featuring two platters and ten plates, each piece is richly molded with sculptural fruit and foliage—grapes, pears, peaches, strawberries, and cherries—glazed in saturated jewel tones against a warm yellow ground.

Majolica fruit sets like this were designed for the grand finale of the meal: the dessert and fruit course, served with drama and delight. Think Riviera luncheons, champagne-soaked soirées, and the kind of table that makes guests linger just a little longer. Today, this set is equally at home on a holiday table, summer garden spread, or styled as a show-stopping centerpiece when not in use.

The relief is bold, the color is unapologetic, and the presence is unmistakable. Light wear and original factory glaze variations remain, consistent with age and production. Each piece is marked on the reverse with the Sarreguemines maker’s mark.
