A rare and exceptional example of Spode’s artistry, this monumental “Tower” pattern turkey platter was produced in a striking red and white colorway — created specifically for the American market in the late 19th to early 20th century. Measuring an impressive 21" in length, it features a finely detailed transfer scene of the Bridge of Salaro near Rome, framed by scrolling florals and architectural motifs.
The vibrant crimson hue contrasts beautifully against the creamy ground, highlighting the precision and depth of Spode’s transfer technique. Equal parts functional and decorative, this piece commands attention whether displayed on a sideboard or set for a holiday feast. Maker’s mark on underside.
