A late 18th-century English earthenware plate with pearlware glaze, decorated in the classic “Long Eliza” pattern. The elongated draped figure derives from earlier Chinese export porcelain of the 17th–18th century and became a favorite motif in early English blue-and-white. This example is especially desirable for its raised festoon border — a less common molded edge that adds dimension and refinement. Crisp cobalt decoration with the soft, luminous tone characteristic of early pearlware.

An exceptional early piece with only minor production flaws typical of the period.
