Description:
Antique Staffordshire cow and milkmaid creamer, made in England circa 1850. Cream is poured into the opening on the cow’s back and dispensed through its mouth—a playful and functional form popularized during the Victorian period. Rich red-brown spotting and hand-painted details give this piece its charm, while the unmarked base is typical of early Staffordshire figures made by small regional potteries.
