This Spode Tower meat platter and gravy boat set embodies a storied elegance, featuring a pattern introduced circa 1814, inspired by Merigot's 'Views of Rome and its Vicinity' published between 1796-1798. The intricate blue and white design captures the Bridge of Salaro near Rome, once crowned by a keep, a structure that stands to this day, veiled beneath the modern pathway to Rome's airport. Signed on the bottom.
