Charming 19th c. English majolica dolphin-form compote or spill vase. Rich green and ochre glaze highlights the scaly texture and whimsical shape, with a curled tail supporting a shell-form bowl. A fine example of Victorian majolica with excellent color saturation and gloss. Likely from Staffordshire or similar region, circa 1880. A perfect addition to a majolica or coastal-themed collection.
