19th-Century Majolica Begonia Leaf Platter

Antique English majolica platter in the classic begonia leaf pattern. Usually found with more pastel coloring, this one is richly glazed in shades of brown, green, cranberry, and ochre making it quite rare. The intricate veining and color transitions highlight the naturalistic form, making it a standout display or serving piece. Typical of late 19th century production, this example bears no maker’s mark—common for the period—only an impressed number on back.
