A beautifully hand painted Italian faience cabinet plate by Ulisse Cantagalli of Florence, dating to about 1880. It features a central cherub surrounded by floral garlands and landscape medallions, all framed by an elegant pierced border. Marked with the Cantagalli cockerel on the reverse, this Renaissance Revival piece displays the artistry that made Cantagalli one of Italy's most celebrated ceramic workshops.
