19th-C. English Staffordshire 'Lion Dog' King Charles Spaniel, C.1860s

This rare and highly collectible antique Staffordshire "Lion Dog" spaniel dates to circa 1860 and boasts an oversized presence, perfect for adding Victorian charm to your decor. Traditionally crafted without maker's marks, this figure features exquisite molded detailing, expressive facial features, and subtle gilt accents. This model and style is referred to as a "Lion Dog" in Staffordshire guide books. As usual with antique Staffordshire, there is no maker's mark.
