1930s leather-wrapped flask commissioned for the R.M.M.V. Winchester Castle. Built in Belfast in 1930, the ship initially serviced mail and passengers between the UK and South Africa. During World War II, it was repurposed as a floating hospital, providing critical care to wounded American soldiers who were injured during the invasion of Normandy. This flask, marked with the ship's emblem, is a significant piece of wartime history, making it a prized addition for collectors of military and maritime memorabilia. Maker's mark stamped on bottom, flask holds 5oz, twist to open.
