An impressive late Victorian English silverplate trophy cup awarded in 1894 for a first prize at a horticultural show. The elegant fluted form is engraved with its presentation inscription and retains the mellow patina acquired over more than a century. Marked by Benetfink & Co. of Cheapside, London, renowned furnishing ironmongers active from 1845 to 1907. A wonderful piece of English gardening history and an exceptional decorative accent for a potting shed, conservatory, library, or country house.
