Pair of early 19th century Spode serving dishes in the uncommon "Portland Vase" pattern, dating to the 1830s. Decorated in green transferware on creamware pottery, the dishes feature intricate geometric basket weave borders surrounding classical vase and floral motifs at center. Their elegant shape and richly detailed decoration make them exceptional examples of early English tableware, equally suited for display, serving, or incorporation into a transferware collection.
