The intricate Willow pattern, originating in England, was inspired by traditional Chinese designs and depicts a romantic fable. Legend speaks of two lovers transformed into doves, escaping together and immortalized in the scene’s central imagery. With its detailed landscape of willow trees, Chinese pagodas, and bridges, this platter not only serves elegance but also narrates a story of love and transformation.
