Chinese Thousand Butterfly Plates S/6, Rare Square Shape

Set of six antique Chinese export "Thousand Butterfly" pattern dessert plates. Unusual square shape. Painted in greens, blues, iron oxide, yellow and black. Each piece is completely hand-painted. Late 19th/early 20th century, red glaze mark “Made in China” or “China” on the back sides in accordance with the country of origin import law passed in 1891.
