Antique Staffordshire Dogs, a Pair

Original pair of 19th-C. English Staffordshire King Charles Spanierls. Slight size difference often was attributed to one being male and one female. Modeled after Queen Victoria's beloved King Charles, Dash. female, 6.25"L x 3.75"W x 6.75"H; male, 5.5"L x 3.5"W x 7.25"H. As with most early Staffordshire, there is no maker's mark. Made circa 1850.
