Staffordshire's enduring popularity is a testament to their beautiful craftsmanship, as shown in this 19th Century pair of porcelain English Staffordshire figures with children, sheep dogs and lambs. This pair is better quality than the normal figures, as the lavender foliage accents make them exceptionally rare. Most Staffordshire figures made from 1740 to the early 1900s were produced by small potteries and makers' marks are generally absent.
